Konica Minolta Sponsors The GAPP Awards

Konica Minolta, one of the leading manufacturers of digital production printers, has committed to a Gold Event sponsorship in The GAPP Awards. The GAPP Awards – presented by Sentient Publishing, publisher of The GAPP Magazine – will be the premier printing, packaging and signage competition for the South African industry. The GAPP Awards ceremony will be held in October 2016 and will recognise Excellence in Printing in all the various disciplines which make up the printing industry. A total of 30 categories will allow work from all sources of print to be compared against each other with the aim of finding the best of the best. According to Leon Minnie, product manager: production systems at Konica Minolta, the decision to participate in the competition was an easy one to make. He added, ‘There is a real need for a competition of this nature. Through competition printers can compare themselves to each other and an industry standard can be set which will encourage further improvement.
