Worldwide launch of Xerox Versant 2100 at Fespa Africa

On the first day of Fespa Africa, Bytes Document Solutions in conjunction with Xerox held the worldwide launch of the new Xerox Versant 2100 high-quality digital colour press. The latest addition to the Xerox digital colour production press range produces high-quality vibrant colour in full 1200 x 1200dpi with 10-bit image depth. The 100-page per minute device can handle a wide range of media from 55gsm right through to 350gsm. It combines speed, image quality and high levels of automation to create colourful personalised communications.

The device uses a new toner set to achieve high-quality and vibrant colours, more typically seen on hexachrome or stochastic printing devices. The additional 2-bit image depth means that a wider gamut of colours can be achieved. Paul Haglich, marketing manager for production systems at Bytes Document Solutions said, ‘There is a growing market for versatile devices. The Xerox Versant 2100 meets those requirements due to its ability to handle a wide range of stocks including coated and uncoated papers, textured papers and even polyester. It can even handle jobs with mixed stocks allowing. This is a unique opportunity for Bytes and Xerox to be able to have a worldwide launch of a new device like this here in South Africa. It is the first time it is being shown anywhere in the world at a trade show.’
