Be inspired and unleash your potential for 2022 with The GAPP Print Expo

Africa’s essential forum for the printing, signage and packaging industry – The GAPP Print Expo – has returned with an even bigger bang than ever before, with the promise of connecting key decision makers to a smorgasbord of solutions provided by market leaders to Print Service Providers (PSPs).

The timing couldn’t be better because businesses are searching for new ways to innovate their product and service offerings, streamline their business processes and ultimately, bring new customers into the fold. This is a necessity now, more so than ever before, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the way that it has adversely affected companies globally.

This equipment and supplies exhibition takes place every three years as part of the Propak Africa exhibition, which will take place at the Expo Centre, Johannesburg from 8-11 March 2022. The expo will take place in partnership with Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, who have over 50 years’ experience in the trade show sector. The GAPP Print Expo provides visitors with the opportunity to see the latest innovations in the printing sector in consumables, techniques and machinery. More importantly, it gives exhibitors an opportunity to showcase their products and interact with possible customers who are key decision makers in their companies.

Exhibitors at The GAPP Print Expo will be manufacturers and suppliers of conventional pre-press and digital printing machinery, equipment and consumables; leading suppliers and manufacturers of labelling equipment and machinery; along with frontrunners in print for packaging, where they will introduce state-of-the-art technology, advanced equipment and new approaches to print. The GAPP Print Expo is recognised as the place to be to learn about the latest innovations in the industry and to source suppliers, manufacturers and distributors.

The partnership between Sentient Publishing, who are the publishers of The GAPP Magazine, came naturally and has been running since The GAPP Print Expo started. ‘We have a dedicated database of the companies involved in the printing industry throughout Southern Africa as well as the markets of East and West Africa,’ said Vikesh Roopchand, Managing Director at Sentient Publishing. ‘Our aim is to provide these potential visitors with the necessary information to convince them to visit the show in order to see the latest solutions available in the market and to discover the trends that will influence their businesses in the coming months and years, especially as they recover from the financial ramifications that they have suffered as a result of the pandemic,’ he continued.

The GAPP Print Expo 2019 was one of the best attended and boasted the highest percentage of key decision makers visiting the expo. 85% of the people who attended the expo influence or make the purchasing decision. ‘The previous show was already very good but 2019 was outstanding. There was a lot of interest and prospects. We sold some machines – some on the first day,’ said Michael Aengenvoort, CEO at ROTOCON.

Propak Africa 2019 was visited by over 11 000 people and boasted 600 exhibitors. 262 of the 600 exhibitors were from European and Asian countries including Portugal, Belgium, Korea and China to name a few. Visitors of the expo largely comprised of South Africans however 5% were from other African countries, largely from South Africa’s neighbouring countries. This shows that the expo has a worldwide reach.
