Screen’s inkjet presses ‘mean business’ at Ipex

At Ipex Screen will showcase its latest high-end Truepress Jet inkjet presses designed to print a range of high-quality digital direct mail, book, document, transpromo, newspaper, label and personalised gifting products.

Every day the Truepress Jet520 – the world’s most successful high-speed, single-pass colour inkjet press – and the new Truepress Jet L350UV digital label press will be printing a range of products to demonstrate the multiple business opportunities available to print specialists and label converters. Visitors will also see clever customised gifting, cartons and promotional packaging products all printed on the B2 Truepress JetSX digital inkjet press.

‘Our aim is to show how Screen Truepress Jet technology can drive profitable businesses by producing versatile high-quality print – efficiently, reliably and cost-effectively,’ said Brian Filler, President of Screen Europe. ‘Superb engineering and years of experience handling colour goes into every Truepress Jet to give companies the ultimate confidence that they can always meet customer quality and deadline expectations.’

The Truepress Jet520 prints on rolls of inkjet paper, standard paper and uncoated paper up to 520mm wide. Its top printing speed of 220 metres per minute enables fast turnarounds and efficient production of high print volumes. The press is ideal for on-demand production of books, direct mail, newspapers and transactional printing and these will be shown on the booth. With a maximum imaging resolution of 720 x 720dpi, colour and black-and-white photographs are beautifully reproduced. In addition, Screen’s EQUIOS universal production workflow shows how users can maximise press uptime and productivity.

The Truepress Jet L350UV is an easy-to-use inkjet label press that delivers photo-realistic quality, fast job turnarounds and stable, colour consistent, output. The press prints widths up to 322mm and prints at a top speed of 50m.

The Truepress Jet L350UV uses Screen’s wide-gamut high-definition UV inks with optional opaque white ink. This combination of ink produces tremendous colour vibrancy while enhancing application versatility by allowing users to print on transparent film and metallic foil. A resolution of 600 x 600dpi combined with very small droplet size gives sharp, well-defined images and text.
