The GAPP Awards 2022 – these are your winners for Southern Africa!
The 2022 GAPP Awards prestigious black tie banquet dinner and awards ceremony was held at Emperors Palace Centre Court on 25th March, where multi-award winning television personality, Leeanne Manas wowed the almost 800 guests, as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The air was charged with excitement, as the commercial printing, signage and packaging sector was able to come together in celebration of excellence for the first time since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his opening speech Vikesh Roopchand, Managing Director of Sentient Publishing and Publisher of The GAPP, said: ‘Gathered here tonight are heroes in our industry – companies that have shown their mettle, through raising the standard by producing exceptional work; their suppliers who have supported them by providing them with the latest technologies, quality products and outstanding service; as well as clients, who pushed their print service providers to innovate, create and to take print as a medium to levels that go beyond our imagination.’
He added, ‘With over 50 judges, the most unique judging system and almost 800 entries, winning at The GAPP Awards is a remarkable achievement. Winning at any level of this awards should be celebrated – it marks your spot as being one of the top 5 producers of that category in Southern Africa. You truly are the mavericks of genius and the architects of transcendence.’
